This qualification is valid for three years, with an annual refresher recommended. A full course must be completed again to requalify.

    The training consists of 12 guided learning hours over a minimum of two days. Some independent pre- and post-course study may be required. The course can be delivered over a maximum of six weeks, provided each session lasts at least two hours.

  • The FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) provides essential training for individuals responsible for the care of children and infants. This course provides the knowledge and skills to deal with a range of paediatric first aid conditions and incidents. This qualification is valid for three years, with an annual refresher recommended. To progress further, learners can complete an additional unit to obtain the full FAA Award in Paediatric First Aid.

    The training consists of 6 guided learning hours in the classroom, plus some pre-course study. It can be delivered over a maximum of four weeks, provided each session lasts at least two hours.

  • The Annual First Aid Refresher Course is designed for qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders to refresh and update their skills. While not mandatory, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommends annual refresher training to ensure first aiders remain confident and competent. There is no formal assessment, but learners are continuously evaluated by the trainer throughout the session. Upon completion, participants receive a non-regulated certificate of achievement.

    The course consists of a minimum of 3 hours, combining theoretical and practical activities. Participants will review key first aid skills, including resuscitation, wound management, bleeding control, the primary and secondary survey, bandaging, hygiene, and the chain of survival.

  • The FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Requalification) (RQF) is designed for individuals who hold an existing First Aid at Work qualification that is due to expire. This course ensures First Aiders remain competent and meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful learners receive a three-year certification, with an annual refresher recommended. Requalification must be completed before the existing certificate expires. If lapsed by more than three months, a full three-day First Aid at Work course is required.

    The training consists of a minimum of 12 hours spread over at least two days, ideally completed consecutively. However, it can be extended over a maximum of seven weeks, provided each session lasts at least two hours.
